Pork ribs without an oven

Ingredients you need:

  • 1kg of pork ribs
  • Olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika
  • 2 tablespoons of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of bbq sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of white vinegar
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of chilli flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds
  • 1 cup of water

Recipe:

  • Place your pork ribs on a chopping board, flip it remove the outer skin of the pork ribs on the backside as well as remove excess fat on both sides.
  • Cut the ribs into sections to fit in the nonstick pan.
  • In a small bowl, put 2 tablespoons of salt and 2 tablespoons of black pepper mix it well.
  • Sprinkle the mixture on both sides of the pork ribs and rub it.
  • In another small bowl put 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of bbq sauce, 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of paprika, 1 tablespoon of white vinegar mix the ingredients and add 1/4 cup of water to dissolve the sugar and prepare the delicious sauce for the pork ribs.
  • Using a nonstick pan, put 4 tablespoons of olive oil to shallow fry the pork ribs them until they turn golden brown.
  • Place the pork ribs in the pan and pour in the sauce.
  • Cut 2 cloves of garlic and put it in the pan.
  • Add 3/4 cup of water and cover the pan for 1 hour and let the meat get soaked in the sauce and tenderize.
  • After 20 minutes check the meat to flip it to cook evenly.
  • After an hour, turn off the heat and place the meat on a plate let it cool for 5- 10 minutes before eating.
  • Put 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds in a nonstick pan without any oil to roast the sesame seeds. Turn off the heat after they turn golden brown.
  • Sprinkle the sesame seeds on the pork ribs.
  • Serve the pork ribs with your favourite carbohydrate dish alongside your favourite red wine or rosé. Bon appétit.
