Creamy mushrooms

Have you ever tried mushrooms? Wondering how to prepare this delicious side dish for the main meal? Search no more, we got you. This creamy mushroom is very easy to prepare it takes about 20 minutes to prepare it. Few ingredients needed and can be served alongside a couple of dishes or snacks, like rice, buns, mashed potatoes, vegetables, etc. Scroll below to check out the recipe.

Ingredients you need:

  • Mushrooms (white button mushrooms)
  • 3/4 cup of coconut cream
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • Thyme (fresh or dried)
  • 1 beef cube
  • 1 teaspoon of garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • Olive oil/ Vegetable oil

Recipe:

  • Put 1 tablespoon of olive oil or vegetable oil in a pan
  • Cut 1 onion and grate 3 cloves of garlic, add them to the pan
  • Under medium heat, fry the onions until they turn translucent
  • Cut the mushrooms, wash them and add them to the pan
  • Mix the mushrooms and the onions until it starts letting out its water and turning brown
  • Add 1 tablespoon of black pepper and sprinkle 1/2 a teaspoon of salt to the mushrooms
  • Add 3/4 cup of coconut cream, mix the cream with mushrooms and let it simmer under low heat for 5 minutes
  • Add 1/4 cup of water, 1 teaspoon of garam masala, and 1 beef cube
  • Sprinkle a handful of either dried thyme or fresh thyme
  • Stir to blend the spices well. Cover the pan and let the sauce thicken before turning off the heat. This takes about 5-7 minutes
  • Turn off the heat and serve the mushrooms in a bowl alongside your favorite dish. Enjoy your meal
