Marble Loaf cake

Marble loaf cake is a way to enjoying two different flavours one cake. This marble loaf cake is made of vanilla and chocolate flavours. We are going to prepare it with melted dark chocolate and makes it even more delicious. Scroll down and check out how to prepare marble loaf cake at home.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of melted dark chocolate
  • 1 and 3/4 cups of self-raising flour
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • a handful of dark chocolate chips (optional)

Recipe:

  • Beat 3 eggs in a bowl, add 1 cup of oil and 1 cup of sugar. Mix until it is fluffy.
  • Sieve 1 and 3/4 cups of self-raising flour in a separate bowl and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • Add the self-raising flour mixed with salt in the egg mixture as you mix.
  • Add milk to smoothen the batter until you attain the right texture. It shouldn’t be too thin nor too thick.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence and mix.
  • Separate the batter into two.
  • One portion should be more than the other.
  • Melt 1/4 cup of dark chocolate, mix it with the bowl that has less batter. To make a chocolate batter.
  • Grease your loaf tray using a brush and dust it with self-raising flour.
  • Pour in half of the vanilla batter in the loaf tin, using a spatula spread it evenly.
  • Add the chocolate batter into the tray even with a spatula.
  • Finally, add the remaining vanilla batter on top.
  • Using a knife make curves in the batter.
  • Sprinkle dark chocolate on top but this is optional.
  • Preheat your oven for 5 minutes.
  • Bake your marble loaf cake for 45 minutes at 300F
  • Run a knife around the loaf tin before flipping the cake.
  • Flip the cake gently on a tray or a wire rack to cool for 30 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve your cake with a bowl of ice cream or a glass of yoghurt or your favourite cup of tea. This cake can be served for breakfast or a snack or a dessert after a meal. Bon appĆ©tit!
