Chocolate cookies

Chocolate cookies are very easy to bake only take 10-15 minutes to bake. They are crunchy and very delicious. They can be served with juice, hot cup of coffee, or tea. Chocolate lovers, you are in the right place, check out the recipe.

Ingredients you need:

  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 cup of sugar preferably brown sugar
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips or diced chocolate (preferably chocolate chips)
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence/ vanilla extract

Recipe:

  • Put 1 cup of butter in a bowl, add 2 eggs and mix.
  • Add 1 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence. Mix the butter well until it is smooth.
  • In a separate bowl put 3 cups of all-purpose flour, add 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 tablespoon of cornflour, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix it well.
  • Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients in the butter, add in portions as you mix.
  • Once you are done, add 1 and 1/2 cups of chocolate chips and mix.
  • Place a baking paper on a baking tray. Alternatively, you can use a brush and apply vegetable oil on the baking tray to avoid the cookies from sticking on the tray.
  • Use a tablespoon to scoop the mixture roll it in form of a ball place it on the baking tray use to 3 fingers to press gently to give it a good cookie shape. Once you do that to the rest leaving a few inches apart to give it room to rise while baking.
  • Sprinkle a few chocolate chips or diced chocolate on the cookies before baking.
  • Put them in the fridge for 3o minutes then bake them for 10-15 minutes at 375F.
  • Preheat the oven for 5 minutes before baking
  • Once your cookies are baked let them cool for 30 minutes it gives the cookies room to become crunchy before eating.
  • Your cookies are ready. Grab a glass of juice or a hot cup of coffee and enjoy it. Bon appétit.
