Plantains

Plantain is a type of plant in the family of bananas😂. Basically plantain is a type of bananas. It can be prepared through deep frying or baking. In this recipe we will prepare them through the baking method. Plantains can be served as a side dish during lunch or supper or you can have it for breakfast.

Ingredients:

  • Plantains
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar (for sweet tooth people) *optional*
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil

Recipe:

  • Wash your plantains, dry them and peel them.
  • Cut each plantain in half.
  • Brush your baking tray with olive oil and place baking paper on top.
  • Brush some more olive oil on top of the baking paper.
  • Mix the remaining olive oil with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of sugar.
  • Brush each plantain generously with olive mixed with cinnamon and sugar.
  • Preheat your oven for 5 minutes.
  • Bake your plantains for 30 minutes at 350F or 180c
  • Plantains are ready. Bon appétit!
