Vanilla cupcakes

Are you hosting friends for 4 o’clock tea? Come join us and let’s prepare vanilla cupcakes, which is best for breakfast, 4 o’clock tea, or one of those cold evenings. It can be served alongside a hot cup of coffee, tea, juice or a hot cup of drinking chocolate tea

Ingredients you need:

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar (brown/ regular sugar can do)
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 and 1/2 cups of self-raising flour (enough for 12 cupcakes)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
  • 1 cup of milk
  • Cupcake papers

(alternatively you can use all-purpose flour and 1 tablespoon of baking powder in place of self-raising flour)

Recipe:

  • Put 1 cup of oil in a container and add 1 cup of sugar, mix it.
  • Beat 5 eggs in a bowl and whisk it, pour it into the oil-sugar mixture.
  • Mix the wet ingredients until it becomes fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl, pour 3 and 1/2 cups of self-raising flour. Use a sieve to make the flour fine.
  • Add 1/2 tablespoon of salt in the flour and mix it.
  • Pour the flour in bits (divide into 3 sections) in the wet in ingredients as you mix it.
  • Pour 1/4 of milk after mixing.
  • Pour the next portion mix and pour in another 1/4 cup of milk as you mix the butter. Do that till you til the end.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence. Mix it.
  • Pre-heat the oven for 5 minutes at 330F
  • Place the cupcake papers in the cupcake tray and pour your butter.
  • Bake the cupcakes for 25 minutes
  • Let it cool for 30 minutes. It’s ready now, grab your cup of coffee and enjoy the cupcakes. Bon appétit!
