Eggless cake

Are you allergic to eggs but you love cakes? Here’s a recipe for you, a simple way to prepare a nice delicious cake for you and your loved ones. You can have this cake for breakfast, 4 o’clock tea, afternoon snack, or a midnight snack. The best part about this recipe you won’t notice there are no eggs, it is delicious and very sweet. Ingredients you need:

  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of milk

Ingredients for the chocolate sauce (optional):

  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon of heavy cream

Recipe:

  • Put 1 cup of vegetable oil, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence and whisk the mixture into a fine batter.
  • In a separate bowl, sieve 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Mix the dry ingredients, and add 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • Pour the dry ingredients in the wet ingredients in portions. As you mix the ingredients. Add 1/2 cup of milk to smoothen the batter. Add the final portion as you mix and finally add the remaining 1/2 a cup of milk.
  • Prepare the baking tin by applying vegetable oil around the tin using a brush and sprinkle all-purpose flour or apply vegetable oil around the tin using a brush and place baking paper.
  • Pour the batter in the baking tin even the batter using a spatula.
  • Preheat the oven at 550 F for 5 minutes
  • Reduce the temperature to 320 F and bake the cake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Use a fork to check if it is fully baked. The fork should come out clean after poking the cake gently.
  • Let the cake rest for 30 minutes before serving.
  • Melt 1/2 a cup of chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of heavy cream. Pour the chocolate sauce on your cake slice and sprinkle springles on top (optional)
  • Serve your eggless cake with a hot cup of tea /coffee, if it is a hot afternoon a cold glass of juice would do. Bon appétit!
