Beef Steak (pan-seared)

Meat lovers where are you at? Here’s a recipe for you. Let’s prepare a mouth-watering beef steak. It only takes a few minutes to prepare the steak. The recipe below is for medium-rare steak (slightly pink inside). Beefsteak can be served with a plate of mashed potatoes, rice, fries accompanied with salad or vegetables not forgetting a glass of red wine goes well with red meat.

Ingredients you need:

  • T-bone steak or any other type of steak ( at least 1- 1.5 inches thick)
  • 2 tablespoons of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of oregano
  • Salt
  • Rosemary
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Margarine or butter

Recipe:

  • Place your steak on a chopping board using a kitchen towel pat the steak to remove any excess water.
  • Flip the steak and do the same on the other side.
  • Put 1 tablespoon of olive oil on the steak and rub the steak, flip the steak and put another a tablespoon olive oil and rub as well.
  • Sprinkle salt at least 1/2 tablespoon of salt and rub on the steak, flip the steak and do the same on the other side.
  • Take 1 tablespoon of black pepper, sprinkle black pepper on the steak and rub the black pepper on the steak. Flip the steak and do the same on the other side.
  • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of oregano on the steak and rub on the steak. Flip the steak and rub oregano on the other side.
  • Preheat a non-stick pan for at least 3 minutes on medium heat.
  • Meanwhile cut 2 cloves of garlic into 2 to have 4 parts of garlic.
  • Place the steak gently on the pan using a pair of tongs starting from your end to the furthest end.
  • Put 2 tablespoons of margarine or butter on the pan and let the meat get cooked under medium heat.
  • Place garlic on the pan and sprinkle rosemary.
  • Turn the steak gently after it turns golden brown. This helps the steak cook evenly. Add more butter or margarine when you flip the steak.
  • When the fire is too much, adjust the fire slightly.
  • Keep turning the steak to cook evenly do this for about 7-10 minutes.
  • Hold the steak vertically to burn the fat on the sides as well.
  • 7-10 minutes later the steak should be cooked (medium-rare steak)
  • Place the steak on a chopping board let it cool for about 10 minutes before indulging.
  • Serve your steak with your favourite carbohydrate dish, salad not forgetting a glass of red wine for wine lovers. Enjoy your meal.
