  • Put the melted butter and chocolate in a bowl, add 3 eggs, 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of coffee (it helps bring out that nice chocolate taste in the brownies), and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Mix the butter until it is smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, sieve 1 and 1/2 cups of self-raising flour and 1/4 cup of cocoa powder.

  • Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence in the batter and mix.
  • Preheat your oven for about 5 minutes at 550F. (It helps the butter to bake evenly)
  • Using a brush, grease your baking tin with vegetable oil it helps the cake not to stick to the tin and it will be easier to remove the brownies. Sprinkle cocoa powder on the tin after greasing the tin ( it also helps the cake not to stick to the baking tin)
  • Pour the batter on the baking tin and make sure it is even you can spread it evenly using a spatula.
  • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of dark chocolate chips on the batter.
  • Put your batter in the oven and bake it for 350F for 20-25 minutes.
  • 20 minutes, use a fork to poke the brownies to check if it is fully baked.
  • Set your brownies aside and let it cool for 30 minutes before cutting the slices and serving.
  • Serve your brownies with a glass juice or hot cup of tea/coffee. Bon appétit.
